Kazakhstan is to borrow T330 bn for sewerage from ADB and EBRD

Astana. October 27. KazTAG -  T330 billion will be borrowed by Kazakhstan for sewerage from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), said Beibut Atamkulov,  Minister of Investment and Infrastructure Development  of Kazakhstan.
“For the construction and reconstruction of WWTP (sewage treatment facilities - KazTAG) in the cities of Balkhash, Zhanatas, Zhezkazgan, Satpayev, Stepnogorsk, a feasibility study (feasibility study - KazTAG) has been developed which has  received a positive expert opinion. The projects are planned to be implemented at the expense of ADB loan in the amount of about T40 billion," he said.
The ministry is carrying out preparatory work for sewwage and purifying projects performance  in 53 cities.
“For the cities of Aktobe, Ayagoz, Kapshagai, Karaganda, Prishakhtinsk, Ridder, a feasibility study has also been prepared and submitted for examination. The projects are planned to be implemented through a loan of about T90 billion from EBRD," he added.
He pointed out that an agreement has been reached with ADB and EBRD to attract about T330 billion of extra-budgetary funds.
