Kazakhstan lowered import of Ukrainian meat by almost twice in January-May
Astana. July 1. KazTAG - Kazakhstan lowered meat import from Ukraine in January-May 2014 to 5.7 thousand tons ($9.7 mln), 45.6% down in quantity and 46.3% down in cost year on year, reports the customs control committee of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the reported data, without accounting the Customs Union states Kazakhstan increased meat import in January-May to 35 thousand tons ($46.1 mln), 0.8% up in quantity and 6.1% down in cost year on year.
The biggest meat suppliers to Kazakhstan have been: the US-20 000 tons (+15.9%), Ukraine- 234 000 tons (-45.65), Poland- 1.6 thousand tons (-15.4%), Argentina- 1.6 thousand tons (3.5 times up), Australia- 1.4 thousand tons (4.3 times up).
