Kazakhstan plans to attract international loans for Kapshagay-Karaganda highway construction
Astana. February 2. KazTAG - First Vice Minister on Investments and Development Zhenis Kasymbek declared the Ministry plans to attract the loans of international financial institutes in Q4 2015 for the highway construction Kapshagay-Karaganda.
"The works on the main directions started in 2013- Astana-Temirtau and Almaty-Kapshagay. 22 km were reconstructed last year: Astana Temirtau- 12 km and Almaty-Kapshagay- 10 km 72 km are planned to be commissioned in 2015: Astana-Temirtau- 10 km, Almaty-Kapshagay- 62 km, and we plan to complete both projects in 2016. We plan that these motorways will be paid in the future," he said.
"Design-estimate documents are being prepared for Kapshagay-Karaganda highway, they will be finished late this year. The works financing will be provided by the international financial institutes. We plan to sign an agreement in the 4th quarter this year and request ratification in the Parliament until the end of the year," he added.
