Kazakhstan plans to complete works on 1800 km roads
Astana. September 17. KazTAG - Works on 1800 km of roads are planned to be completed by the end of 2019 in Kazakhstan, said Roman Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
"By the results of the year works are planned to be completed at 1800 km, including construction and reconstruction at 641 km, repair - 1.16 thousand km," said Sklyar discussing the position of Kazakhstan in the global competitiveness index of the World Economic Forum.
In his words, financing of the local networks has been increased to 200 bn tenge.
"Construction, reconstruction and repair works are being conducted at 6000 km motorways of the republican network and 4600 km motorways of regional and district significance," said the Minister.
According to the head of the ministry, under the condition of current financing dynamics, 100% of motorways of republican (international) significance will reach good and satisfactory condition by 2025, 95%- of regional and district significance.
He marked that in order to improve the indexes "Development of airports networks" and "Efficiency of air transportations" of World Economic Forum since the beginning of the year Kazakhstani and foreign air companies opened 7 international flights: Nur-Sultan- Ulan Bator, Nur-Sultan-Prague, Nur-Sultan-Tokyo, Almaty-Baku, Zhykovskiy-Karaganda, Zhukovskiy-Kokshetau, Zhukovskiy-Petropavlovsk.
