Kazakhstan plans to expand cooperation in field of internal and external security with Uzbekistan - Nazarbayev
Astana. November 25. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev has conducted a meeting with Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov who has arrived with an official visit to Kazakhstan, Akorda reports.
"Being the neighbors and in the conditions of independence we have duly organized the relations. Kazakhstan supports Uzbekistan in all the initiatives. We plan to keep on strengthening friendship between the states, expanding trade, developing mutual relations, including in terms of internal and external security and other directions," the press-service cites Kazakhstani leader.
"Our states are closely monitoring these negotiations as stability and development of the entire region depends on positions and mutual work of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan," added Nazarbayev.
Meanwhile, Karimov emphasized promptly changing situation in the modern world.
"In these conditions each state is seeking support, clarifying its plans and relies upon its close neighbors. Kazakhstan is the closest state for us, close people, which has always been with us on hard and good days. We have always relied on each other," said Karimov.
