Kazakhstan plans to supply solar panels to Africa and Near East
Astana. November 26. KazTAG - Kazakhstan plans to supply solar panels to South Africa and Near East jointly with the American and Dutch companies, said Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy.
"We are closely cooperating with the Dutch company ECN which is one of the world leaders in development of technologies for transformation of solar energy into electric power. We plan to work together in the states of Near East, including in Qatar, and we are working on a serious project to dozens of gigawatt capacity now to provide it with appropriate technologies and solar panels. Now we are working on creation and construction of more than 10 Gwt in Northern Africa and Near East," he said.
In his words, Kazakhstan aspires to develop solar energy to the level of uranium industry.
