Kazakhstan provides itself with poultry meat less than 50% - Ministry of Agriculture
Almaty. June 4. KazTAG - Madina Alimkhanova. Kazakhstan provides the need for poultry meat by less than 50%, said Vice Minister of Agriculture Rustem Kurmanov.
“Annual demand of the republic in meat is 1 442.2 thousand tons. Actual consumption in 2018 was 1 302.9 thousand tons. Supply through domestic production was 81%. Not supply in poultry meat, where 51% is imported,” - says Kurmanov to the MIA KazTAG.
At the same time, the vice minister notes that the production of mutton in Kazakhstan satisfies the needs of the population by almost 102%.
In addition, he noted that "Kazakhstan has the key factors for the successful development of animal husbandry: grazing land, irrigated land, labor in the countryside, and is ready to cooperate with potential investors".
