Kazakhstan receives chairmanship in Asian-Pacific forum on sustainable development

Astana. May 22. KazTAG - Kazakhstan has been elected as chair-state in the Asian-Pacific forum of sustainable development, reports the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

"Kazakhstan has become a chairing state of the Asian-Pacific forum on sustainable development. It has become one of the final results of work of the 5th session of the forum which took place on May 19-21 2014in Pattaya (Thailand," reads the message.

One of the goals of the forum is attraction of states' attention to the problems of economic, social, financial branches, environment preservation.

"Kazakhstan was represented by Bektas Mukhamedzhanov, Vice Minister of Environment and Water Resources. He conducted a session concerning joint development within the frameworks of global indexes and round table of Ministers "The way ahead" session," reads the message.
