Kazakhstan's Parliament to consider law on artificial Intelligence

Astana. May 13. KazTAG – Kazakhstan's Parliament will consider a law on artificial intelligence, reports the press service of the Majilis.
"A meeting of the Majilis was held under the chairmanship of Erlan Koshanov,  Speaker of the Chamber, at which a draft agenda for the upcoming plenary session was formed. The draft new Law "On Artificial Intelligence" (AI) and accompanying amendments are submitted for discussion by deputies in the first reading," reads the report.
The bills were developed by the Majilis deputies in pursuance of the instructions of the head of state, voiced at a meeting of the National Kurultai, and are aimed at establishing a unified legal framework for the use of AI technologies (systems).
"The accompanying amendments provide for the protection of consumer rights in relation to products using AI, the protection of personal data processed by such systems, as well as ensuring the security of distribution of media products created using AI. In addition, administrative liability is introduced for the owners or holders of AI systems," the Majilis clarified.
