Kazakhstan's wheat exports increased by 52%

Astana. December 6. KazTAG – As of the end of November, Kazakhstan exported 6.3 million tons of grain, including 2.37 million tons of the new crop – 52% more than in the same period last year, reports the Agriculture Ministry.
"As of the end of November, 6.3 million tons of grain were exported. New crop exports amounted to 2.37 million tons, which is 52% more than in the same period of 2023," reads the report.
The main deliveries are sent to Central Asia, China, Afghanistan and other countries.
There is a significant increase in exports to Iran, Uzbekistan and other key markets. The forecast for 2024 is an increase in export potential to 12 million tons.
Uzbekistan became the largest exporter, increasing purchases of Kazakh wheat by 42% – to 944 thousand tons. Tajikistan received 49% more (377 thousand tons), China – 17% more (355 thousand tons). Exports to Iran increased 30 times, reaching 299 thousand tons.
The geography of deliveries is expected to expand due to the implementation of projects to create new international corridors. The projected export volume includes up to 2 million tons of grain to Azerbaijan, Iraq, North African countries and the EU through the ports of the Black and Baltic Seas.
