Kazakhstan to get cheap Russian gas
Almaty-October 27-KazTAG - «Gazprom» will deliver Kazakhstan natural gas at a low cost as it is expected lower the cost of energy exported to Kyrgyzstan, informs the Kazakhstan Today news agency.
After phone talks, on October 24 2014, between the head of «Gazprom» Aleksey Miller and Kyrgyz President Almaz Atambaev, A. Miller declared that the company decided to supply 330 mln cubic meters of natural gas to Zhambul thermal power station at $165 per thousand cubic metres .
«It will considerably lower the prime cost of planned energy export from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan»,- says the statement.
As it was previously reported, Kyrgyzstan is going to see energy deficit this year, according to prior data the deficit will reach to 2.5 bln kW/h and Kyrgyz authorities try to compensate it at the expense of additional up to 1 bln kW/h export of energy from Kazakhstan, also there are talks with Turkmenistan regarding gas issues.
