Kazakhstani attorneys for human rights asking not to load NGOs with tax reports
Astana. January 27. KazTAG - Yenlik Nurgaliyeva, president of the public fund "Eurasian human rights center" has asked to relieve NGOs from detailed reports and give more trust to the non governmental organizations working on the social projects.
"NGOs must be liable to financial report, but only like the commercial companies. Now we are liable to the tax report, statistical, it must be left on this level. There is no need to check which technique was purchased, they should control the work results," she said.
In her words many NGOs in Kazakhstan shut down due to the reports requirements and documentation. Although, in her words, NGOs face no barriers to get grant from international organizations or state social order.
At the same time, according to Nurgaliyeva, grants exist in Kazakhstan only in the form of funds allocated from the budget. Commercial structues show no interest in grants allocation.
