Kazakhstani doctor detained on suspicion of illegal organs removal

Astana. November 20. KazTAG - Kazakhstani doctor has been detained on suspicion of illegal organs removal.
"Chief doctor of the city clinical hospital N1 of Shymkent Abylay Donbay was detained on November 18. He is charged crimes under part 2 Art. 264 (involvement in transnational group) and part 3 Art.116 (illegal organs removal)," said Nurdilda Oraz, advisor to the minister of Interior Affairs of Kazakhstan.
According to the investigation a criminal group operated on the territory of Kazakhstan in 2017-2018 which was organized by the citizens of foreign states. According to the police, the citizens of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine were attracted to sell their kidneys due to hard material situation for the patients of distant foreign states, mainly in Israel.
"The investigation revealed that Donbay in conspiracy with the members of the criminal group made operations on removal and transplantation of kidneys," said the report.
Gani Kutymuratov, doctor-transplantologist, and a citizen of Kyrgyzstan B. Taisalova had been arrested.
