Kazakhstani frontier guards used weapons during detention of poachers in the Caspian Sea
Astana. April 24. KazTAG - The frontier guards of the regional department "Coastal guard" detained five citizens of Russia poaching in the Caspian Sea, reports the border service of the National Security Committee.
"The crew of "Kalkan" ship found a boat in the territorial waters of Kazakhstan and chased it. The infringers ignored the orders to stop. Frontier guards made shots in the air," reads the message.
Minutes later the infringers were detained. There were five citizens of Russia aboard; the fish that they had caught was thrown overboard during the chase.
"Nobody was injured. Investigation is underway," reads the message.
