Kazakhstani people must be interested in corruption combat jointly with state bodies - Nazarbayev
Astana. November 18. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev conducted a meeting with Askhat Daulbayev, Prosecutor General, and Kairat Kozhamzharov, chairman of the agency on state service affairs and corruption combat, Akorda reports.
"While adopting this law ("On corruption combat"-KazTAG) I addressed to all the people saying there won’t be any indulgences for anyone and no one will avoid punishment if he commits corruption crime. The state spends much money and time to grow up effective governors. When they commit corruption offenses these efforts and expenses turn to be useless. The population must understand this and be interested in joint uncompromising combat against corruption," he said.
In his words there "shouldn't be indifferent people to this issue" among Kazakhstani people.
"Society must be intolerant to corruption cases, people might report about them and measures will be taken," he said.
