Kazakhtelecom expands telecommunication joints on the border with China

Almaty. June 17. KazTAG - "Kazakhtelecom" JSC plans to expand telecommunications joints on the border with China, according to the press service of the company.
"The agreement on expansion of joints on the border of Kazakhstan and China with a total capacity of 200 Gb/s was reached at the meeting of Chief Commercial Director of "Kazakhtelecom" Raphael Abyhanov and senior vice president of China Telecom Tan Yijun, during which top managers also discussed other issues of further cooperation ", - stated in the information disseminated on Tuesday.
As noted, the positive impulse for the signing of the memorandum was the launched by "Kazakhtelecom" in  2013 project named  "Dream" to provide a transit route for Europe - South-East Asia. Since the beginning of the first sales, capacity transit towards Europe-PRC was increased by 4 times.
According to R. Abyhanov talks with Chinese partners to pass transit through the territory of Kazakhstan, including the creation of the alternative route China-Europe, are conducted in order to strengthen the leading position of "Kazakhtelecom" in the regional market due to transit of communication services at the global level .
