KazEOSat-2 to be launched from Russian spaceport Yasniy in June
Astana. May 6. KazTAG - The second device of remote eath sensing of average spatial resolution KazEOSat-2 will be launched in June from Yasniy spaceport in Orenburg region of Russia, said Talgat Musabayev, chair of the national space agency (Kazcosmos).
"The second space device of remote earth sensing of average spatial resolution KazEOSat-2 was also created under control of Airbus Defense and Space by British company SSTL. It is planned to be launched in June from Yasniy spaceport in Orenburg region," he said.
In his words 5 Kazakhstani engineers had special training in Franceand Great Britain.
"A national space center is being constructed in Astana with a land segment of space system of remote earth sensing which will control the satellites and receive and process information from them. The space control center in Astana is planned to be launched in July 2014," he said.
