Kichi-Kipka checkpoint at border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to resume operation
Almaty. November 29. KazTAG - Kichi-Kipka checkpoint at the border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan which was closed in 2010 will resume operation, reports KyrTAG.
"Operation of Kichi-Kapka checkpoint in the Talas region of Kyrgyzstan which was shut down by the initiative of Kazakhstan in 2010 will be resumed," said Ularbek Sharsheyev, chairman of the state border service of Kyrgyzstan.
The decision was taken within the frameworks of the visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, to Kyrgyzstan on November 27.
The parties also agreed to reconstruct Ak-Zhol-Korday checkpoint and increase the operation terms of Karkyra-motorway checkpoint.
