Kurdish rebels captured recovered major part of Kobani conquered by "Islamic State"
Almaty. November 19. KazTAG - The Kurdish defense forces have regained control on the major part of the town of Kobani at the Syrian-Turkish border captured by the fighters of the "Islamic State," said Idris Naasan, representative of the regional administration.
"The rebels gained control on six buildings located nearby the municipality. The major part of weapons and ammunition have been captured, less than 20% of the districts are still in control of fighters," he said to the TASS agency.
23 Islamists have been liquidated in the military operation, reports the Firat news agency. The US air forces made at least 11 strikes on the IS sites.
