Kyrgyzstan has enough fuel only for 2-3 days of military actions in case of security threat
Almaty. April 28. KazTAG - Kyrgyzstan has enough fuel only for 2-3 days in case of security threat, reports the KyrTAG news agency.
"We have been experiencing acute deficit of means in the field of defense and security, for example, we don't have enough fuel. In case of security threat we have fuel stocks for 2-3 days," said Abibulla Kudaiberdiyev, Minister of Defense.
In his words, more than 1 bln soms are annually allocated from the budget for defense measures; it makes about 50% of the requested sum.
"For example only for fuel we need additionally 16 mln soms. We have only 15 tons of kerosene for military helicopters that is enough to travel three times from Osh to Batken," he said.
"We lack of about 3 tons of ammunition. However, there are no funds for this as well," he said.
