“On April 12, 2024, the Department of the National Security Committee for the Almaty region detained a citizen of Kazakhstan suspected of organizing the activities of an underground laboratory for the production of psychotropic substances. During the searches, about 25 kg of synthetic drugs, 1 ton of precursors, laboratory equipment, as well as a large amount of cash in foreign currency were seized,” the statement said.
