Lebanon thanks Kazakhstan for contribution in Syrian peace talks

Almaty. August 8. KazTAG - Beibut Atammkulov, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, met Giscard El Khoury, ambassador of Lebanon to Kazakhstan , reports the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
Lebanon is one of the first Arab states to establish diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan.
"Our states have been successfully developing political ties on the high level. The bilateral meetings at the level of leadership and business circles of our states have become more intensive," said Atamkulov.
Kazakhstan welcomes participation of Lebanon as a new observer at the 13th round of Syrian peace talks in the Astana format.
Despite the difficulties, the peace talks in the capital of Kazakhstan have proved their effectiveness.
The Minister thanked Lebanon for support of Kazakhstani peacekeeping battalion which operates on the territory of Lebanon as part of the Indian contingent.
The ambassador reported about the interest of his state in further development of comprehensive relations with Kazakhstan and expressed readiness for active cooperation with Kazakhstan to settle the problems of the bilateral agenda.
“Today, our states are developing not only bilateral relations but also building successful cooperation within the framework of the regional and international organizations,” he said.
