Loading of trains from China to Europe and back must reach 90% - Samailov
Almaty. May 15. KazTAG - Loading of trains from China to Europe and back must reach 90%, said Alikhan Smailov, first deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan.
"We aspire to increase efficiency of transport routes. For this we need to apply information technologies. First, consignors and consignees must see the goods traffic in real time. Secondly, to increase the volume of transit , we should use common technical and technological conditions for all participants throughout the route. Thirdly, the load of trains to Europe and back must be increased to 90%, ” said Smailov at the forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and China.
He reminded Kazakhstan and China outlined the main industries for industrial cooperation.
“This is engineering, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, production of building materials, metallurgical industry,” said Smailov.
According to him, development of trade relations is impossible without development of transport infrastructure in both countries.
“The Chinese initiative“ Belt and Road ” and its conjugation with the Kazakhstani program “ Nurly Zhol ” provide additional synergies in the performance of the strategy for growth of transit traffic. By the end of 2018, the traffic on the route of China – Europe – China was 55%, prior to this growth had been doubling for two years," he said.
He said Kazakhstan is ready to offer a wide range of domestic goods from engineering, chemical and food industries. As part of these commodity items, as he noted, industrial enterprises operate in Kazakhstan in different cities that have the potential to increase production volumes.
