Ministry of Economy proposed to ban sale of energy drinks to people aged under 18
Astana. December 31. KazTAG -Aliakpar Matishev, chairman of the committee for consumers’ rights protection of the Ministry of National Economy proposed to ban sale of energy drinks to Kazakhstani people aged below 18.
"Energy drinks harm health. We have started working on their research. First, they are dangerous for health of small children. They contain high caffeine level," he said.
In his words, people drinking energy drinks feel strong and vivacious, but in 2-3 hours people feel tired and sleepy.
"People consuming them deceive themselves: I have power. It is very dangerous for drivers taking them, but they are most dangerous for children's health," he said.
"In our opinion sale must be banned to people aged under 18," he resumed.
