Ministry of Health Care: Mortality from tuberculosis fell by 20%, infant mortality by 13%
Astana. August 11. KazTAG - The mortality caused by tuberculosis fell by 20% compared to last year, infants mortality - by 13%, said Bagdat Kozhakhmetov, official representative of the Ministry of Health Care of Kazakhstan.
“There has been a slight increase in the birth rate, infants mortality rate has decreased by 13% compared to the previous year. The death rate caused by tuberculosis fell by 20% in Kazakhstan," he said.
Over the past five weeks, the occupancy of beds by people with coronavirus infection in all medical institutions of Kazakhstan has decreased by 60%, including in intensive care units - by 58%.
