More than 10 convicts in Kazakhstan sentenced to chemical castration

Astana. September 11. KazTAG - More than 100 convicts in Kazakhstan have been sentenced chemical castration, reports the committee of criminal-executive system of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
"Application of compulsory medical measures in the form of chemical castration is based on the court's ruling by the results of forensic expertise. Up to date, 11 convicts have been sentenced chemical castration," reads the message.
All the convicts have been examined by medical-consulting commission.
"Now two convicts (in jails in Pavlodar and Akmola region) are getting the procedure," said the committee.
The department reminded chemical castration is applied in respect of people elder than 18, who committed a crime against sexual immunity of minors.
