More than 100 people evacuated from snowdrifts in Karaganda region
Karaganda. March 11. KazTAG - More than 100 people have been evacuated from snowdrifts on the highways in Karaganda region, reports the regional department of emergency situations.
"Unfavorable weather conditions caused heavy consequences on the highways. Some cars got stuck in the snowdrifts in Karaganda region. Totally 103 people were rescued," reads the message.
"Nobody needed medical aid, nobody was injured," reads the message.
According to meteorologists snowfall and strong wind is expected in the region on March 11.
