Astana. May 27. KazTAG - The lack of medical personnel in Kazakhstan made 14,678 people, - reported the Ministry of Health.
“According to statistics, as of January 1, 2022, 267,027 medical workers, including 78,227 doctors, 188.8 thousand paramedical workers, work in the healthcare system. The shortage of personnel in the health care system amounted to 14,678 units. In emergency medicine specialists, the provision amounted to 1,879 doctors, the deficit amounted to 1,442.25 units,” - said Marat Shoranov, Acting Minister of Health, in the response to a request from Mazhilis deputies.
According to the Ministry of Health, the largest shortage of doctors is observed in the Amlaty (113.75 units), in Nur-Sultan (87 units).
In addition, it is reported that there is an additional need for ambulance teams in 335 teams in 12 regions.
