More than 15 billion tenge will be spent on upcoming elections to Majilis and Maslikhats

Astana. October 22. KazTAG -  The election campaign in the Majilis and Maslikhats will cost T15.3 billion, said Sabila Mustafina, secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
"In general, for the entire combined election campaign of deputies of Majilis  and Maslikhats of azakhstan, the approximate cost estimate is T15.3 billion, which is a rational solution for the efficient use of budget funds, since if the campaigns were conducted separately, the cost estimate would have amounted to T25 billion," she said Mustafina at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.
“The approximate cost estimate for 2020, presented to the government, is KZT10.8 billion. The main share of these expenses is planned to pay 70 681 members of 10 061 election commissions. This is T7.3 billion or 68% of the total cost estimate. The remaining T3.5 billion, which is 32%, is planned in the estimate for the organizational costs of the election commission - this is the production of ballots, printing and other products, information support of the election campaign in order to ensure transparency and openness of the election process, as well as provision of material and technical conditions for election commissions,” she said.
According to her, another 341.4 million tenge is intended to provide members of election commissions with personal protective equipment.
