Astana. May 28. KazTAG - More than 20 customs officers are suspected of accepting bribes by extortion, reported the press service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
More than 20 employees of the customs posts “Nur Zholy”, “Kalzhat” and "Konysbaev” are suspected of accepting bribes by extortion for organizing the unimpeded movement of goods from the PRC to the Republic of Uzbekistan,” -the report said on Tuesday.
It's clarified that in the course of the searches were seized large sums of money in foreign and national currencies obtained in criminal ways.
“At present, three suspects have been taken into custody, for the rest of the defendants were taken preventive measures not connected with deprivation of liberty,” - the report summarizes.
