More than 200 people killed in crash of Fokker 100, in many cases due to icing

Almaty. January 6. KazTAG - More than 200 people have been killed in the plane accidents involving Fokker 100, one of which recently crashed in the suburbs of Almaty, in many cases the crashes were caused by icing, reports Flights Safety international consulting-analytical agency.
"In the time of exploitation the official sources recorded 39 aviation accidents with this type of aircraft (Fokker 100 - KazTAG), as a result 16 planes were seriously damaged and written off. 197 people were killed in the aircrafts and six on the land," said the experts.
