“Today, to monitor the operational situation, ensure the protection of public order, road safety, as well as in order to prevent disclosure of offenses in the city of Almaty, we are using the capabilities of a number of information systems such as “Traffic Safety” and “Sergek”, their number is planned to be increased by another 362 units. They will be installed in the most emergency areas of the city and in places where traffic rules are most often violated. The administrative police department has already carried out a special analysis,” said Kanat Taymerdenov, head of police department of Almaty.
According to the police, 3392 crimes were discovered with the help of surveillance systems in six months of 2020.
