More than 40% of foreign workers were concentrated in the Atyru region in Kazakhstan

Almaty. September 20. KazTAG - More than 40% of foreign workers in Kazakhstan were concentrated in the Atyru region, said Alexandra Molchanovskaya, managing director of the Center for the Development of Labor Resources  of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
“To solve the problem of personnel shortage, Kazakhstan annually attracts foreign labor. In 2020, 14 thousand foreign workers were attracted. The leader  is the Atyrau region, where there are more than 40% of foreign personnel, ” she said.
According to her, the northern regions are the least attractive to migrants. Mostly people came from China, Turkey, and India.
