More than 40% of primary health care services in Kazakhstan are provided by private organizations- Ministry of Health

Astana.  March 2. KazTAG - More than 40% of primary health care services are provided by private companies in Kazakhstan, said Alexei Tsoi, Minister of Health.
“Medical services of primary health care are provided to 59% by the public sector and 41% by private healthcare organizations. The share of financing of outpatient polyclinic care makes 52.4% of guaranteed volume of medical care and compulsory social health insurance,” he said.
He noted that about 10 thousand doctors and 28 thousand paramedical workers work in primary health care organizations, including 47% of doctors and paramedical workers in rural areas.
