More than 60 people bit by mites in Kyzylorda region
Kyzylorda. April 16. KazTAG - More than 60 people have applied for medical aid after being bitten by mites in Kyzylorda region, said Ulbosyn Akhanov, deputy head of regional department for protection of consumers' rights.
"62 people applied for medical aid after being bitten by mites in Kyzylorda region, about 25 people have applied this week," he said.
"According to the monitoring conducted for prophylactics of Crimea-Congo hemorrhagic fever all the districts of the region and Kyzylorda city may be related to the natural source of the fever, as seropositive mites live almost throughout the whole territory of the region," she said.
While there were 98 problematic settlements in 2013, this year their number increased to 116.
