More than 70 people applied for medical aid following blasts in Arys
Astana. June 25. KazTAG - 71 people have applied for medical aid following the blasts in Arys, said Birzhan Ospanov, chairman of the National coordination center of emergency medical aid.
"48 ambulance teams worked in Arys as of 17.00 on Monday, two helicopters with multi-disciplinary team are ready. As of 17.00 23 people applied to hospitals and 48 were taken to hospitals in Shymkent and Ordabasy. 15 people have been hospitalized, two with ballistic wounds, two children have been taken to regional children hospital," he said at the briefing on Monday.
He said 15 evacuation points have been established in colleges and schools of Shymkent.
In his words, the situation is under control.
"We have no information about casualties. Ambulances and aviation center are involved in the operation. We have not registered any fatal cases. Two people with ballistic wounds got medical aid, one had a surgery on an open thigh wound, he is in stable condition. There are no critical cases," he added.
