Mother of deported citizen of Kazakhstan to Syria: Our children got lost in life
Astana. January 10. KazTAG - Young citizens of Kazakhstan missing in Syria have got lost in life, said Botagoz Makhatova, mother of a deceased citizen of Kazakhstan in the military zone.
"My daughter in law is in Syria now, they cannot leave this territory. We were told that they got out from there but still have not reached the destination because of military actions. They are going on foot. They do not know where to escape, all the fields are mined there. I hope nobody will mind their return to the motherland because they are citizens of Kazakhstan. All of them got there because they got lost in life," she said.
In her words, her son was in Syria who died in military actions in 2016. Together with her daughter in law two of her grandchildren are there.
"We have a chat in Kazakhstan which includes 120 applicants-mothers. The children of 10 mothers have returned. We are in touch with our children via WhatsApp. Initially my son got there because of unfamiliarity with religion. Children are not guilty. They went there with their parents," she said.
She added that her son initially went to study in Egypt and later she found out that he got to Syria.
