Mothers of many children threaten to go on hunger strike in Shymkent

Astana. July 12. KazTAG - The mothers of many children claiming to meet Gabidull Abdrakhimov, akim of Shymkent, threatened to go on a hunger strike, reports Radio Azattyq.
"Dozens of mothers have gathered near the building of Shymkent administration claiming to meet Gabidulla Abdrakhimov, akim of Shymkent. The women, mainly mothers of many children or single mothers started gathering near the akimat at about 10.00. They claimed to provide them with housing, increase welfares, calling akim to come to the meeting with them," reads the message.
The women said they rent housing or live in the houses of other people. They said they are dissatisfied with the promise of authorities to provide a grant of 100 000 tenge.
"Some representatives of akimat offered them to enter the building. The protestors refused and called the akim to come to them. The women said otherwise they will go on a hunger strike," reads the message.
