“This is a private information system. Within the framework of our powers, we can respond if there are specific complaints about the processing and misuse of personal data, that is, a violation of information security. Accordingly, at the moment we have no information that there was a leak of personal data or harm was done to the citizens of Kazakhstan in terms of the personal data abuse, and we did not carry out appropriate verification measures. But I want to remind you that different things in the information systems, and if there are cars on the roads, road accidents always happen, the Information Security Committee was created, if there are any incidents, we will respond to them," he said.
At the same time, he stressed that he does not believe that this failure indicates vulnerability of Kazakhstani banks.
