"In order to reduce the administrative costs of quasi-public sector entities, the Government of Kazakhstan has resolved to impose a three year ban to the quasi-public sector entities on the purchase of: passenger cars above the basic configuration, with an engine capacity of more than 2 thousand cubic meters as well as special and operative-service vehicles originating from non-EAEU member states, office furniture originating from non-EAEU member states," reads the statement.
However, the ban on the purchase of powerful foreign cars and furniture does not apply to the cases ensuring the activities of the president of Kazakhstan, the first president - Elbasy, the prime minister, chairmen of the Parliament chambers and servicing of official events with their participation and delegations, creation of diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
