NATO Secretary General paid unannounced visit to Afghanistan
Almaty. November 7. KazTAG - Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, has arrived to Afghanistan with unannounced visit on the threshold of withdrawal of alliance’s troops, reports the Afghanistan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG).
It has been the first visit of Stoltenberg to Afghanistan after he took the post on October 1. In the time of the visit he attended NATO training center for preparation of Afghan commandos in the West from Kabul.
He also addressed a message to Afghan soldiers and promised that trainers and advisors of NATO will keep on assisting them after completion of NATO operations in the state at the end of the year.
As it was previously reported, after withdrawal of NATO and US about 12 000 soldiers of the alliance will stay in Afghanistan.
