Navigable season opened in Kazakhstan
Astana. May 12. KazTAG - A navigable season has been opened in Kazakhstan, reports the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
"The season has been opened at water routes Ural-Caspian and Ili-Balkhash basins totally 2321 km in length and at the river Irtysh of Shulbinsk reservoir - Klin village (border of Russia) 923.5 km in length," reads the message.
Before the season opening the Ministry of Transport and Communications conducted technical repair of fleet, and repaired 3000 floating and bank signs.
"Depending on the weather conditions the season is opened since April 1 until May 12, the average length makes 196 days, in this period of time water ways of Kazakhstan are available for ships traffic," reads the message.
