Nazarbayev names Russia main partner of pragmatic Kazakhstan in EEU
Astana. November 20. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev has named Russia the main partner of pragmatic Kazakhstan in the Eurasian Economic Union, Akorda reports.
"Kazakhstan has finalized the negotiations with the European Union. We are on the final stage of accession into the World Trade Organization. Since next year the economic union of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus (the Eurasian Economic Union-KazTAG) will be launched. Our aim is absolutely pragmatic, as Russia is our main partner we have about 7500 km of common boundary with. Kazakhstan is located inside the continent and has no sea access. Thus, the Customs Union which eliminates the customs barriers and gives access to our cargoes to the external markets is very significant for us," said Nazarbayev at the session in Akorda.
