Nazarbayev ordered to bring order at Astana markets

Astana. April 25. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the authorized bodies to bring order at the city markets.

"The akimat, Ministry of Finance, and the agency on protection of consumers’ rights must bring order at the city markets," he said.

"There are 15 bazaars today selling food products, third of them have no conclusion on quality. Thus, they don't pay taxes. (...) Only the Eurasiamarket is 1 bln tenge short in payments," he added.

"People work there, I am not talking about shutting them down. We must claim, force, fine," he said.

"25 markets, you are right, their look and condition of services do not meet any requirements," said Imangali Tasmagambetov, Astana akim.

He added no tough requirements are lodged on these markets.

"A foreign investor arrived, the first logistics center about 300 mln dollars in volume, construction has started. We will transfer about 7 markets there," he said.
