Nazarbayev refutes information about provision of Caspian ports to US
Astana. December 29. KazTAG - Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, has refuted the information about provision of Caspian ports to the US for military freights.
“Five Caspian states have agreed that the Caspian Sea is a sea of cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding. There can be no armaments of other states," he said.
In his words, signing of the convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea resolved all the questions.
"The convention has settled all the questions on the Caspian Sea. This way we have defined our borders. Our border has become legal," he said.
In his words, American freights were transported to Afghanistan through Kazakhstan.
"The question about the Americans was raised in the time of coalition against Al-Qaeda after 2001, Russia entered it, Kazakhstan also entered it. The Northern Route for transportation of techniques for the war in Afghanistan- the Caspian Sea was for nonmilitary freights. Why not to give way to nonmilitary freights, we can earn money on it," he said.
He marked six railway transit routes and five motorways run through Kazakhstan.
