Nazarbayev voiced strategic challenges before world and Kazakhstan
Almaty. June 21. KazTAG - Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President of Kazakhstan, has voiced the strategic challenges before the world and Kazakhstan.
"I'd like to outline several groups of strategic challenges before the world and Kazakhstan. First, it is dynamic, uninterrupted technological wave. Without noticing it, we are living in the new reality. We see how inventors, programmers, engineers have become futurologists. The second era of machines is coming," he said speaking at the international scientific-practical conference "30 years of leadership" in Almaty.
Secondly, he said, the new industrial revolution will result in change of economic paradigm in general, but the progress will be comparable with invention of electricity or computers.
"We can see how the energy fundament of civilization is changing. In many states renewable energy sources are cheaper than electric power," he said.
Third, he said, geopolitical situation is changing in the world. The world system is creaking at the seams in the main regions of the world. The planet, according to the first president, needs a new version of the world order. Many countries are actively developing new weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery, which are not yet regulated by any international agreements.
“I propose the largest states - the USA, China, Russia, the EU to start a dialogue ,” the first president said.
“Fourth, in addition to the growing conflicts in the world, there are clashes of different global realities. There has been a big shift of the center of global growth to Asia due to the growth of India, China, Indonesia and other countries. Eastern countries may become an alternative to the long-term historical dominance of the West”, he added.
