Nazarbayev voices criteria for state’s effectiveness
Astana. January 30. KazTAG - Incomes and quality of life should be the criteria for state’s effectiveness in Kazakhstan, said Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.
“I declare two indicators: income and quality of life as the main criteria for effectiveness of the state. The whole economy and everything we do is ultimately for people. I will evaluate the work of each minister and akim on the base of performance of these indicators, ” Nazarbayev said at an expanded Government meeting on Wednesday.
He reminded that systematic revision of the state social policy started last year.
“These are five social initiatives, a message and a social package for young people, which I introduced ... huge funds for growth and well-being of all people in Kazakhstan are injected. Not all countries today can afford such an increase in social spending and such work as we do. Therefore, these public funds should be used efficiently. They need control, ” he said.
