Necessary stocks of drugs for COVID-19 unavailable at the SK-Pharmacy warehouse in Atyrau

Atyrau. October 23. KazTAG - The necessary stocks of drugs for COVID-19 were unavailable at the SK-Pharmacy warehouse in Atyrau, Ak Zhaiyk reports.
“In Atyrau, the SK-Pharmacy warehouse did not have the necessary stocks of medicines and personal protective means to fight COVID-19. It was revealed during a special monitoring organized by the anti-corruption department of the Atyrau region," reads the report.
According to the anti-corruption service, during the check, there was no stock of medicines at the company's warehouse. The manager of "SK-Pharmacy" explained this by the fact that medicines are stored in the neighboring Aktobe region, and the existing stocks in the warehouse have already been distributed among medical institutions.
“During the check, there were no medical masks in the polyclinic №3. The responsible health worker said that the masks ran out just a few minutes before the visit of the inspectors. The warehouse of the polyclinic, which serves almost 5 thousand people lacked some medicines. For example, instead of the required 5 thousand packs of Xarelto and Dexamethasone tablets, which should be enough for two months, only 10 packs were available, ” reads the report.
