Negotiations on accession of Kazakhstan in WTO complicated - MEBP

Astana. May 19. KazTAG - The negotiations on accession of Kazakhstan in the World Trade Organizations are complicated, said Aliya Alimbetova, interim director of department of foreign trade development of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning.

"The process is very difficult. But we are on the final stage, we are striving all our necessary requirements which we want to use after accession in the WTO. For this reason the negotiations have taken long time," she said.

At the same time Kazakhstan "is aimed on application of all the international rules in the WTO," she said.

"No discriminations, free access to the markets of third states for our products," she said.

In her words currently Kazakhstan is working on new agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation with European Union. In this case Kazakhstan is the only state in Central Asia which reached new relations with the European Union.

"Also in the aims of investments attraction, development of trade relations we are working on new agreement on creation of free trade zone jointly with the CU states - Vietnam, New Zealand, states of European association of free trade, which includes Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Island. It will boost investments attraction, trade development and accession of our products to the markets of these states," she said.
