New Civil-Procedural Code of Kazakhstan presented in Majilis
Astana. January 29. KazTAG - An updated draft Civil-Procedural Code of Kazakhstan and appropriate amendments have been presented in the Majilis, which is aimed to improve and modernize the civil juridical procedure.
"Further development of economic relations, inflow of foreign investments and information technologies development require legislation updates. Due to this, the civil procedural legislation must provide appropriate and fast order of civil cases consideration. It must be targeted on sides reconciliation and wide use of modern technologies," said Rakhmet Mukashev, chairman of the committee of legislation and judicial-legal reform of the chamber.
Mukashev indicated that introduction of special composition of judges on protection of investors rights is a distinctive feature of the draft law.
"An appellation board will be created in the Supreme Court, a specialized body will be created in the court of Astana to consider investment disputes. This measure is supposed to increase legal investments protection," he said.
He reminded the current code was adopted in 1999 "in the period of market relations establishment".
